Transportation Design Project Manager, PE
Why DRMP
- Lead roadway design projects through planning, design, and construction support phases.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality.
- Oversee development of plans, specifications, estimates, and engineering calculations.
- Collaborate with clients, agency stakeholders, subconsultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Mentor and develop engineers and design staff.
- Evaluate engineering alternatives and recommend practical solutions.
- Support data collection, engineering investigations, and project planning efforts.
- Ensure designs meet applicable agency and industry standards.
- Bachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering
- North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 5 - 10 years of transportation roadway design experience
- NCDOT roadway design experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in MicroStation and GEOPAK. OpenRoads experience is a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of AASHTO and State DOT design standards
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
