Travel Operations Manager (Contract)

Job Description:

IBEx is a a purpose-driven Christian travel operation. As we begin a new phase of the business, we are looking for an experienced travel professional to take the lead in developing meaningful group-travel experiences, building trusted supplier relationships, growing church and group sales, and delivering well-run tours.

This is not a desk-bound maintenance role. It is a hands-on opportunity for someone who understands the realities of group travel and enjoys turning an idea into a commercially sound, operationally reliable travel product.

The opportunity

The appointment begins as a six-month contract, working three days per week, with a monthly salary of S$2,300–S$2,500 depending on experience.

Subject to performance, business progress and approval, the role is intended to transition to a full-time contract for the following six months. There is a potential pathway to a permanent role around Month 18, when IBEx reaches sustainable break-even.

This arrangement may particularly suit an experienced or mature travel professional seeking flexible work, purposeful contribution and the chance to build something meaningful.

What you will do

• Lead the relaunching of IBEx’s travel operations and commercial foundations.
• Develop, cost and price viable Christian and Bible-experience group tours.
• Re-establish and manage relationships with overseas ground operators, hotels, transport providers, guides, airlines and other suppliers.
• Build relationships with churches, ministries, group leaders and other sales partners.
• Develop a practical sales pipeline and help convert group enquiries into bookings.
• Establish sound processes for bookings, participant communications, documentation, tour operations and post-tour review.
• Manage tour delivery, participant care, disruptions, cancellations and service recovery.
• Monitor margins, break-even, cash-flow exposure and commercial performance for each departure.
• Provide clear updates and recommendations to management as the business grows.

What we are looking for

You will bring substantial experience in the travel industry, ideally in outbound group tours, tour operations or product management. You should be comfortable with tour costing and pricing, supplier negotiation, sales development, operational planning and managing the unexpected when travel plans change.

Experience with Christian travel, church groups, ministry travel or faith-based organisations is advantageous, but it is not essential. Relevant travel-industry capability is essential.
