Trust and Safety Analyst Engineer
You will work at the intersection of data analysis, software engineering, and policy enforcement to protect users from harmful content, fraud, and abusive behavior. The role includes developing automated detection and enforcement systems, analyzing abuse patterns, improving policy and tooling, escalating severe cases, and supporting AI-assisted moderation.
Responsibilities
- Build, analyze, and scale systems that protect users from harmful content, fraud, and abuse
- Translate safety policies into automated logic, machine learning features, and scalable backend workflows
- Collaborate with trust and safety, data, engineering, and product teams
- Identify trends across cases and abuse patterns to improve policy, tooling, and detection
- Escalate complex or high-severity cases with clear summaries
- Help build AI-assisted moderation tooling
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in trust and safety, platform integrity, or a related data analysis and engineering role
- Ability to write code, query data, and build scalable backend workflows
- Ability to translate safety policies into automated logic, machine learning features, and scalable systems
- Strong judgment under ambiguity and comfort analyzing abuse patterns
- Comfort working with sensitive content
- Operational rigor in documenting decisions and improving policy and tooling
- Strong written English and clear, empathetic communication
- Familiarity with DSA, NCMEC reporting, or law-enforcement requests is a bonus
