Job Description
As the Cyber Security Assurance Specialist, you will act as the appointed Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) overseeing compliance, administration and security posture of classified IT systems in accordance with Government accreditation frameworks.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform ISSO duties to maintain compliance and technical security posture of assigned classified IT systems/networks.
• Support system security authorisation and maintain related documentation.
• Manage system hardware/software specification, procurement and configuration.
• Oversee user administration and security education training and awareness (SETA).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk management, security monitoring and auditing.
• Report and investigate security incidents.
• Provide specialist advice on cyber security and accreditation matters.
• Act as Deputy ISSM for assigned systems as delegated.

Education/Certifications Required

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in IT or Cyber Security.
• Relevant industry certifications highly desirable.

Knowledge/Skills Required

• Minimum 6+ years' experience in system administration and cyber security.
• Strong understanding of IT security issues and practices.
• Familiarity with accreditation frameworks: DISP, DSPF, ISM, NIST.
• Skills in risk management, incident response planning, and continuous monitoring.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
