UAT and Automation Tester (12 months Contract)

Role: UAT and Automation Tester
Job Location: (Changi Business Park), Singapore
Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Design, prepare, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
• Perform manual and automation testing across software applications.
• Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate with business stakeholders.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using JIRA.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, Cucumber, Karate, or similar tools.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Analyze test results and provide clear reporting on defects, risks, and test progress.
• Ensure testing activities are aligned with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Support production releases and post-release validation where required.

Mandatory Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 4–5 years of professional experience in software testing/QA.
• Strong hands-on experience in both Manual and Automation Testing.
• Mandatory hands-on experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including UAT planning, test case preparation, execution, defect tracking, retesting, and coordination with business stakeholders.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Figma for reviewing UI/UX designs, understanding design specifications, validating implemented screens against designs, and identifying UI/UX discrepancies.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA for defect tracking and test management.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with at least one automation testing framework/tool, such as:

o Selenium

o Playwright

o TestNG

o Cucumber

o Karate

• Strong understanding of SDLC and software testing methodologies.
• Experience in functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience participating in Agile ceremonies and working with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
