Vendor Manager
The Vendor Manager will foster relationships with third-party maintenance vendors, build and manage a vendor network, oversee operational needs, optimize vendor performance against KPIs, ensure SLA adherence, conduct market visits, negotiate pricing, and serve as a bridge between vendors and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Create and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with third-party maintenance vendors
- Build and manage a vendor network that meets R&M, Turn, and Renovation demand and operational needs
- Drive vendor performance against established KPIs and ensure adherence to SLAs
- Drive product adoption of the vendor portal
- Utilize reporting and analytics to make data-driven decisions that enhance operational effectiveness
- Conduct market visits to review vendor quality, build rapport, and vet potential new vendors
- Deliver and review vendor performance feedback to the vendor network on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Identify sourcing gaps, prioritize needs, and recruit vendors
- Negotiate and establish set pricing structures to optimize cost management
- Serve as the vendor's voice to internal Roofsters, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
- Provide support to the internal operations team and address operational challenges
- Manage, document, and resolve escalations
- Collaborate and work cross-functionally in a team environment
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience leading, developing, and growing vendor relationships
- Experience with residential Repairs and Maintenance field operations
- Strong analytical capabilities to evaluate performance and understand fair and optimal pricing structures
- Excellent planning, organization, and delivery skills; comfortable in high-pressure situations
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers
- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication across a range of stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
- Tech-savvy
- Experience making data-driven decisions using reporting
- Proficiency in Google Suite applications, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides
