Vice President of Design

Lead end-to-end design quality across client-facing product, web, and other touchpoints. Own design vision, performance metrics, operational planning, design systems, research, usability testing, customer discovery, and the growth of a multidisciplinary remote design organization.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the long-term design vision for mobile and web touchpoints.
• Own design performance metrics and report business impact at the executive level.
• Run design as an accountable business function, including headcount planning, prioritization, and delivery.
• Partner with Marketing to ensure consistent brand expression across customer journeys.
• Oversee user research and journey mapping for complex financial, banking, and crypto payment flows.
• Scale and govern a unified design language and Figma-based design system.
• Embed usability testing and customer discovery before design handoff.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership on strategy and requirements.
• Establish safe governance for AI tools in asset creation and UX personalization.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a remote multidisciplinary design organization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of digital design experience.
• 4+ years in an executive design leadership role managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in a high-growth fintech, neobank, or digital asset platform.
• Portfolio showing complex interactive product design and established brand identity work.
• Track record of improving conversion, NPS, task completion, and platform ratings through design.
• Experience streamlining workflows and partnering with Marketing, Product, and Engineering.
• Knowledge of iOS, Android, and modern web standards.
• Experience scaling enterprise-grade design systems.
• Familiarity with UX and trust challenges in fintech, banking, and digital assets.
• Exceptional executive communication and storytelling skills.
• Experience leading in a fully remote, globally distributed environment.
