VP/SVP Head of Business Operations
zerohash is seeking a senior leader to build and lead the Business Operations function from the ground up. The role owns business intelligence, AI operational rollout, procurement, new product and market analysis, and organizational design and operating efficiency, while partnering cross-functionally and presenting recommendations to executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Build the core business intelligence function, including unified reporting, KPI frameworks, and executive dashboards.
- Define business metrics and maintain a single source of truth across systems.
- Surface trends, risks, and opportunities to leadership.
- Own the enterprise roadmap for adopting AI tools and workflows.
- Identify AI use cases and establish rollout governance and guardrails.
- Build procurement processes for vendor onboarding, evaluation, negotiation, spend management, and approvals.
- Drive vendor consolidation, cost discipline, and vendor risk management.
- Lead market sizing, competitive analysis, and opportunity assessment.
- Make pricing, market entry, and build-versus-partner-versus-buy recommendations.
- Identify cross-sell, upsell, vertical, geographic, and partner expansion opportunities.
- Support headcount planning, organizational design, and organizational health measurement.
- Lead process design and re-engineering for scaling operational functions.
Requirements
- 12–15+ years of progressive experience in business operations, strategy, corporate development, or a related leadership role.
- 5–8+ years of FinTech experience.
- Experience in crypto, digital assets, payments, banking, or brokerage infrastructure is preferred.
- Experience building functions from scratch.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with ambiguity.
- Experience driving AI or major technology adoption within an operating business.
- Experience in vendor negotiation and procurement strategy.
- Excellent executive communication skills, including presenting to C-suite and board-level audiences.
- Based in the United States.
- Ability to travel to team hubs.
