Women Peace and Security (WPS) Expert
Joint Staff J5 Counter Threats and International Cooperation (DDCTIC) is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Lead Women Peace and Security (WPS) Expert. This position you will be a full-time member of Joint Staff J5 and Identify, acquire, and engineer access to mission-critical data sources from across the DoW and interagency partners; design, build, and maintain automated data pipelines to ingest, clean, and integrate this information into a centralized repository. Support a cross-functional network of trained WPS Focal Points and points of contact throughout the Joint Staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the integration of WPS-informed sociocultural analyses in COCOM planning, operations, and assessments.
- Develop analytical products upon request to support COCOM senior leadership's understanding of the situation of men, women, boys, and girls in the Area of Responsibility (AOR).
- Integrate considerations from partner nations' WPS National Action Plans into CCMD planning and operations where applicable.
- Provide analytical support to security cooperation planning processes and events as directed.
- Provide other related support services as directed by the local representative of the COR that fall within the scope of this PWS.
- Develop a course survey and a summary report of outputs for each course to the Joint Staff.
- Ensure all courses are developed in full cooperation with the designated Department of State DHR Civil-Military team point of contact to the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) level of requirement.
- Provide other related support services as directed by the COR that fall within the scope of this PWS.
