Works Train Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the overall works train operations and project workforce.
• Plan manpower deployment, shift rosters, training and operational resources.
• Ensure safe and efficient train movements and track-access activities.
• Coordinate with the client, contractors and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with approved operating manuals, procedures and safety requirements.
• Lead incident response, investigation and operational recovery.
• Monitor staff attendance, discipline, competency and performance.
• Prepare and submit operational, manpower and management reports.
• Lead the management and operations teams.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in works train operations or railway construction.
• Experience managing a large operational workforce.
• Strong knowledge of railway operations, construction safety and incident management.
• Strong leadership, planning and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and report preparation.
• Able to support operations outside normal working hours when required.
