Operational & Logistical Support (Science & ALP)

  • Lesson Preparation: Prepare, set up, and pack away materials and consumables for Primary 3 to Primary 6 Science lessons, practical assessments, Applied Learning Programmes (ALP), and TinkerSpace activities.

  • Teacher Assistance: Help teachers organize and deliver maker-related and hands-on learning sessions.

Facility Management (Science Rooms & TinkerSpace)

  • Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain the school's two Science Rooms and TinkerSpace in a clean, safe, and organized condition.

  • Storage & Updates: Ensure proper labeling and storage according to safety protocols, and update the HOD or Subject Head on inventory replenishment and program progress.

Inventory, Equipment & Resource Management

  • Inventory Tracking: Manage records, conduct stock-takes, and monitor usage levels for Science and ALP equipment, consumables, and maker-related resources.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Handle equipment loans and returns, perform basic troubleshooting or routine checks, and coordinate vendor repairs for faulty items.

Program Implementation & School Support

  • Events & Competitions: Assist with logistics, venue setup, and material preparation for Science exhibitions, competitions, and enrichment programs.

  • Operational Assistance: Support teachers in operating related equipment and devices during activities.

Administrative & General Duties

  • Clerical Tasks: Handle data entry, filing, documentation, and record-keeping for the Science Department and ALP.

  • Ad-Hoc Support: Undertake any additional operational or administrative duties assigned by School Leaders, HODs, or authorized personnel.

Working Hours

  • Standard Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM (includes a 1-hour lunch break).

  • School Holidays: Services are not required for a 2-week break during both the June and December holidays (unpaid by the school), with specific working days during holidays provided 4 weeks in advance.

  • Service not required on Weekends and gazetted public holidays.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Qualifications: Minimum GCE 'O' Level qualification or equivalent.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.

  • Organization & Accuracy: Strong planning, time-management, and multitasking abilities, with meticulous attention to detail for inventory tracking, lab maintenance, and record-keeping.

  • Teamwork & Attitude: Capable of working both independently and collaboratively with teachers and staff, demonstrating a positive attitude, initiative, and adaptability.

  • Compliance & Discretion: Strictly adheres to confidentiality, school rules, safety standards, and operational procedures.

  • Experience: Preferably 3 or more years of relevant experience in school-based support services or science laboratory operations.
