Application & Sales Engineer – Fire Protection

The company is well established in the Fire Protection sector, offering a comprehensive range of control valves and water control solutions for applications including refineries, power plants, tunnels and other critical infrastructure.

Job Description

This role combines application/proposal engineering and sales support, with opportunities for regional travel across Asia.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret customer requirements and technical specifications, and prepare technical proposals in support of sales activities.
• Provide technical assistance to the sales team throughout the proposal and project stages.
• Liaise with factories and internal teams to obtain technical information, drawings and design clarifications.
• Participate in technical meetings and deliver product or technical presentations to customers.
• Review project, order and contract specifications to ensure technical requirements are understood and addressed.
• Monitor project schedules, technical deliverables and documentation to support timely project execution.
• Provide technical support to customers, including responding to product-related enquiries and troubleshooting issues.
• Support customer site visits for equipment troubleshooting, inspection or technical assistance when required.
• Assist with project documentation, including test reports, inspection records and installation drawings.
• Conduct product seminars, webinars and training sessions for customers where required.
• Support sales development activities and take on other sales-related responsibilities as assigned.
• Travel regionally across Asia as required for customer meetings, technical support and business activities.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in instrumentation, engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Comfortable with regional travel and able to travel at short notice when required.
• Good presentation and communication skills, with the ability to conduct seminars, webinars and product training.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Able to work independently and demonstrate a strong sense of ownership.
• Willingness to support sales-related activities and ad-hoc assignments when required.
