Blockchain Data Wizard, Analyst or Scientist
Transform messy on-chain data into unified, intuitive data models; reverse engineer DeFi protocol mechanics and smart contract interactions; index new blockchains; design schemas and metrics; filter wash trades, bots, and Sybil attacks; and build performant data pipelines using SQL and dbt.
Responsibilities
- Transform messy on-chain data into unified, intuitive data models
- Reverse engineer DeFi protocol mechanics and smart contract interactions into production-ready models using SQL and dbt
- Index new blockchains and design schemas to translate native blockchain data into internal models
- Design and create financial metrics such as volumes, fees, TVL, and user activity
- Filter out noise including wash trades, bots, and Sybil attacks
- Build performant, maintainable data pipelines and SQL transformations at scale
Requirements
- Mastery of SQL and dbt
- Experience reverse engineering smart contracts and DeFi protocols
- Experience designing data models and schemas for large-scale blockchain datasets
- Ability to operate with ambiguous or sparse protocol documentation
- Strong curiosity and analytical problem solving
