FPGA Engineer

Join Belvedere Trading's technology team to design and optimize high-performance, low-latency FPGA systems powering its options market-making platform. The role involves building algorithmic trading systems, developing hardware platforms, solving performance-critical problems, and improving engineering productivity.

Responsibilities

• Use cutting-edge technology while working on high-performance and low-latency systems
• Collaborate with team members to investigate and create automated trading algorithms
• Work on high-performance computing systems to improve speed and performance
• Build next-generation algorithmic trading systems
• Solve low-latency trading problems and optimize performance-critical code
• Develop new hardware platforms
• Identify improvement opportunities and experiment with performance optimizations
• Apply industry knowledge and technical skills in innovative ways
• Improve team productivity, code quality, tools, and technology adoption
• Create new features and improve existing experiences
• Share ideas, experience, and knowledge with team members

Requirements

• Development experience with FPGAs, including Verilog or VHDL, functional verification, and static timing closure
• Experience with C++, Bash, TCL, and/or Python scripting
• Experience with FPGA design, simulation, and verification tools such as Synopsys, Riviera, ModelSim, or Questasim
• Desire to push performance boundaries and reduce latency
• Passion for innovation and building systems from the ground up
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment
• Careful attention to detail and ability to exceed expectations
