FPGA Engineer
Join Belvedere Trading's technology team to design and optimize high-performance, low-latency FPGA systems powering its options market-making platform. The role involves building algorithmic trading systems, developing hardware platforms, solving performance-critical problems, and improving engineering productivity.
Responsibilities
- Use cutting-edge technology while working on high-performance and low-latency systems
- Collaborate with team members to investigate and create automated trading algorithms
- Work on high-performance computing systems to improve speed and performance
- Build next-generation algorithmic trading systems
- Solve low-latency trading problems and optimize performance-critical code
- Develop new hardware platforms
- Identify improvement opportunities and experiment with performance optimizations
- Apply industry knowledge and technical skills in innovative ways
- Improve team productivity, code quality, tools, and technology adoption
- Create new features and improve existing experiences
- Share ideas, experience, and knowledge with team members
Requirements
- Development experience with FPGAs, including Verilog or VHDL, functional verification, and static timing closure
- Experience with C++, Bash, TCL, and/or Python scripting
- Experience with FPGA design, simulation, and verification tools such as Synopsys, Riviera, ModelSim, or Questasim
- Desire to push performance boundaries and reduce latency
- Passion for innovation and building systems from the ground up
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment
- Careful attention to detail and ability to exceed expectations
