Product Manager Tax

Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI-powered tax products, automating tax calculation, validation, reporting, and filing while expanding Stack into CPA tax workflows and building reliable, explainable, auditable AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for tax products.
• Build tax automation across Cards, Bill Pay, Banking, and other financial workflows.
• Expand Stack into tax automation by automating CPA workflows.
• Translate manual tax workflows into focused product opportunities.
• Ship reliable AI systems with evaluation methods, quality metrics, fallbacks, and human controls.
• Design explainable, auditable products with source traceability and clear user controls.
• Translate tax rules into scalable product, data, and platform capabilities.
• Lead execution with engineers and designers.
• Drive cross-functional alignment on launch readiness and compliance review.

Requirements

• BA/BS in a technical or analytical field.
• At least 5 years of product management or adjacent product-building experience.
• Strong expertise in tax, accounting, or finance.
• Strong product judgment and first-principles thinking.
• Hands-on experience building AI features, prototypes, or side projects.
• Understanding of AI evaluation, retrieval, latency, cost, safety, and accuracy tradeoffs.
• Experience building trusted products with explainability and auditability.
• Comfort with Figma, Git, Claude Code, and Cursor.
• Fluency with experimentation and product metrics.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
• Experience with tax calculation, compliance, reporting, or filing products.
