Senior Manager, Equity Administration
Oversee global equity programs and manage the full equity lifecycle, including issuance, reporting, governance, employee education, equity data, financial reporting, complex transactions, external advisors, and cross-functional employee support.
Responsibilities
- Own daily administration of equity plans, including stock option grants, RSUs, exercises, repurchases, and cancellations.
- Partner with People Operations on onboarding, offboarding, and employee equity communications.
- Maintain accurate equity data in Shareworks.
- Assist with award valuations and complex equity transactions.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel.
- Educate employees about equity and respond to equity-related questions.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of progressive equity administration experience, ideally including 2 years in a manager-level or lead role.
- Expertise with equity management platforms, preferably Shareworks.
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting for equity compensation.
- Understanding of U.S. tax and securities regulations, including 409A and equity taxation.
- Analytical rigor, attention to detail, and process orientation.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience in a pre-IPO or hyper-growth technology company environment.
- Experience with Shareworks and Workday.
- Familiarity with global equity programs, ESPP, and RSU.
- Experience with tender offers, secondary sales, repurchases, and other complex equity transactions.
