Software Engineer Forward Deployed AI

Co-lead enterprise customer engagements by owning technical discovery, solution architecture, prototyping, implementation, production readiness, and operational handoff. Design secure AI systems, validate workflows, launch reliable deployments, and convert solutions into reusable patterns and playbooks.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer goals into system and non-functional requirements.
• Understand customer workflows, constraints, systems, data quality, and adoption blockers.
• Create system context and data flow diagrams.
• Develop integration plans across Ramp and customer systems.
• Design security models covering permissions, access patterns, and auditability.
• Create evaluation plans covering quality metrics, acceptance tests, and red-teaming.
• Create operational plans covering monitoring, alerting, incident response, and runbooks.
• Reuse existing product capabilities.
• Prototype and validate workflows with end users.
• Drive projects through discovery, implementation, launch, and operational handoff.
• Ensure deployments are reliable, supportable, measurable, and adopted.
• Convert deployments into reusable patterns, components, and playbooks.

Requirements

• Experience shipping production software.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers.
• Experience in solutions architecture, technical consulting, forward deployed engineering, or pre-sales engineering.
• ML and GenAI fundamentals.
• Coding ability in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Go, or a similar language.
• Ability to design secure and scalable systems.
• Technical documentation skills.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, data pipelines, customer systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Cloud architecture experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Distributed systems experience.
• Experience building LLM systems, RAG, agents, monitoring, and evaluations.
• Willingness to travel up to approximately 75%.
• Familiarity with finance operations workflows such as AP, procurement, expenses, close, reconciliation, and reporting.
