Solutions Consultant, Public Sector
Serve as the primary technical and financial advisor for public sector organizations evaluating Ramp. Guide technical discovery, design tailored solutions using APIs and ERP integrations, deliver demonstrations, support compliance alignment, guide RFPs and proposals, collaborate cross-functionally, and help ensure successful post-sale implementation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical and workflow discovery with public sector prospects
- Deliver customized product demonstrations
- Design secure and scalable solutions using APIs, ERP integrations, and compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with Account Executives on complex sales cycles
- Align solutions with FedRAMP, SOC 2, HIPAA, CJIS, and procurement requirements
- Lead technical evaluations, respond to RFPs, and build ROI analyses
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Compliance
- Share public sector customer insights
- Partner with Customer Success on post-sale implementations
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and customer workshops
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, or Solutions Architecture at a SaaS or fintech company
- Strong background in financial systems, accounting workflows, and ERP integrations
- Hands-on expertise with API integrations, SFTP configurations, and security protocols
- Experience supporting public sector organizations and understanding procurement, compliance, and IT/security requirements
- Ability to influence and present to executive stakeholders
- Experience navigating long, multi-stakeholder sales or adoption cycles
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, finance, or a related field
- Familiarity with federal and state procurement frameworks
- Experience with government financial systems
- Programming familiarity with Python, SQL, or Java
- Cloud platform knowledge
- Project management certification is a plus
